The Fair Trade Shop Cebu celebrated its first year anniversary last August 8, 2010.

After the ecumenical service headed by Bishop Jaime Moriles, different Fair Trade advocates and volunteers presented about Fair Trade, the Philippine Fair Trade Mark, APFTI's mission and the Made for Fair Trade project. Ms. Geraldine Labradores also shared her experiences in putting up and operating the shop for the past year.

Friends and volunteers from the Global Exchange Team and SETEM became ramp models for the day as they showcased Fair Trade bags, scarves, fashion accessories and other products in the Fair Trade Eco Fashion Show.

The celebration also became the venue for the launching of the Fair Trade advocacy campaign, "I want to be FAIR" headed by Mr. Toni Zuñiga and Mr. David Thompson of the GX Team. The campaign aims to inform and to mobilize the public about the Fair Trade advocacy and how it helps in eradicating social inequalities especially in business and trade.
